  • ProLogic Xtreme - a Redundant Safe Lock with commercial features

Last year SecuRam introduced the SafeLogic Xtreme - a redundant safe lock system that incorporates the convenience of push button access with the time tested reliability of a 3 wheel mechanical combination overide. The SafeLogic Xtreme, as it came to be known, has been resounding success and is featured on gun safes and residential safes alike. As we introduced this unique redundant safe lock to commercial safe manufacturers, it became evident that there was a need in the marketplace for a redundant safe lock with commercial features - similar to the feature set found in our ProLogic product line. We...

  • The “Work Horse Commercial Safe Lock”

So in effort to continue to describe the innovation going on here at SecuRam Systems, I thought I would show SecuRam’s innovation of the basic commercial grade safe lock.  Every safe lock company has one of these:  KabaMas has its Combogard series,  LP has its RotoBolt Series, etc., etc..  At SecuRam we always take the approach a three pronged approach to product design:  First we look at what is currently available on the market, understand the positives and negatives of the designs and then we embark on the second step - the second step is probably the most important – are...

  • Safe Lock Innovation

Innovation...So here is a simple one… Have you ever installed a safe lock on an interior compartment of a safe where the keypad on the safe door controls both the safe door lock and the interior compartment lock – so 1 keypad controlling both locks. Sounds like a great idea, but a wiring nightmare, right? For the interior door lock, you have to run the lock cable across the interior door hinge to get to the lock which is installed on the back of the door, right? Wrong, well right …but with SecuRam’s StrikeBolt lock body, there is an easier...

  • "Fail to Link", what do you do...

Here is a common question we get in our Technical Support department, so I thought I would send out some info. If you are using a SecuRam safe lock system that has an LCD screen and you come across a message on the screen that says "Fail to Link", what do you do... "Fail to Link" does not mean the lock has failed, it means that the EntryPad can't establish communication with the lock. This message sometimes appears when you first connect a lock to an EntryPad and is an indication that the lock needs to be converted from Analog...

  • So did SecuRam recommend fingerprint technology to the IPhone team?

It is exciting to see Apple adopt fingerprint technology for its new iPhone release.  Reportedly, they are using active capacitive sensors just like the sensor SecuRam uses in its ScanLogic Swipe.  So did SecuRam recommend fingerprint technology to the iPhone team?   Nah!  But that would have been cool!   In the safe lock world fingerprint readers have not really caught on. The first one came out in 2005 but its price was shocking and it had a really slow reaction time. It was faster to just enter your code.  As SecuRam entered the safe lock market in 2006, we...
